How to Use Mistletoe for Curing Tinnitus?

Mistletoe is a powerful herb used for healing many disorders. It is also used to cure tinnitus (a condition that causes hearing loss and frequent ringing in the ears). Hearing about this problem can be a never-ending struggle, and if it’s in a critical stage, it might affect your life in numerous ways.

Fruits, twigs, and leaves are the parts used for healing.  It is one of the excellent methods that stimulate blood pressure. Few types of tinnitus may be due to blood pressure issues. Hypertension can be risky if left uncured. And many people suffering from high blood pressure are at high risk of tinnitus.

Mistletoe herb contains essential properties that help to increase and lower blood pressure. That’s why many countries like Germany use it to help people with lower blood pressure. And once you have low BP, it can result in the removal of tinnitus as well. Mistletoe supplies more oxygen and nutrients to reach your ear. 

Mistletoe for Tinnitus

Here is how to use this amazing herb:

Tip 1: Mistletoe Tea

You Will Need:

a) 3 tablespoons mistletoe
b) 3 cups of water


c) Honey

Steps:

a) Prepare a tea using mistletoe herb by boiling it in water.
b) Leave it to steep for the whole night.
c) Next morning, strain the mixture.
d) Add a few drops of honey to it.
e) Drink it at least three times a day.

Tip 2: Use 5 drops of this tincture.

Tip 3: Mistletoe + Lemon Balm Tea 

You Will Need:

a) Mistletoe
b) Hawthorn
c) Lemon balm

Steps:

a) Take equal quantities of the herbs mentioned above.
b) Let them steep for approximately 10 minutes.
c) Strain the decoction and drink 1 cup in the morning.
d) Consume another cup of tea at night time.

Tip 4: Mistletoe Drink

You Will Need:

a) 3 cups of cold water
b) 3 teaspoons of mistletoe
 
Steps:

a) Mix this herb in cold water and leave it overnight. 
b) Strain, heat up and drink 3 cups regular (unsweetened) the next morning.

Note:

  1. Mistletoe is safe, but it causes uterine contractions in pregnant ladies and hence, must be avoided during pregnancy as it may result in labour. 
  2. Nursing mothers also must say no to the consumption of this herb.
  3. Avoid taking this herb if you are a heart patient or if you had a heart stroke earlier as it can slow down the heart rate.
  4. In old people, use minimal dosage and avoid it for kids less than two years of age.
